AGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

RAKSTAR Professional Soloist Category: Must have 6 or more years of professional dance experience.

STARLETTE Semi Pro Category:Must have 3-5 years of professional dance experience.
STARLETTE TEEN SOLOIST:Ages13-19 years old.
STARLETTE YOUTH SOLOIST:Ages 5-12 years old.
RAKSTAR GROUP:Age 14 years old & up + (2 members minimum).

STARLETTE YOUTH GROUP: Ages 5-13 years old (3 members minimum).

WORKSHOP REQUIREMENTS

- RAKSTAR PROFESSIONAL SOLOIST:Contestants must be registered for ONE FULL DAY PACKAGE or 3 Class Workshop Package.
- STARLETTE: Contestants must be registered for ONE FULL DAY PACKAGE or 3 Class Workshop Package.
- STARLETTE TEEN & YOUTH SOLOIST: Contestants must be registered for ONE FULL DAY PACKAGE or 3 Class Workshop Package or sell 9 tickets or more for the Friday Night Gala Show/Competition.
- GROUP:
Every member must be signed up for one of the options below:
1. Purchase a minimum of 2 workshops.
2. Purchase 1 workshop and sell 3 tickets for Competition night.
3. Sell 7 tickets for Competition night.
4. Proof of workshop registration of each member and ticket sales is required.

MUSIC REQUIREMENTS & TIME LIMITS

RAKSTAR, Starlette, Starlette Teen Soloist: 4 minutes

Starlette Youth Soloist: 3 minutes

Groups: 5 minutes.

***Anything over the time limit will be cut off!***

*Professional grade music in MP3 format must be sent via email by September 1, 2019. All contestants should have a backup CD or USB.

ATTENTION!

** The categories Rakstar Solo and Starlette Solo MUST have 5 contestants in order to have that category compete**

**ONLY ORIGINAL CHOREOGRAPHY accepted for RAKSTAR Solo Category**

- Performance MUST be onstage.

- Contestants may enter in one category or another.

- Order of competitors is by reverse order received; first to register goes last and last to register goes first.

- Contestants CANNOT perform in the Gala Shows unless they are part of a group.

- Categories without 3 or more entries, may be canceled. Competition fees will be refunded but workshop fees are non refundable.

- Winners will be chosen by adding their individual scores from each of the judges in a variety of categories. If for some reason there is a tie, the judges will convene and choose a winner together. There will be a Winner (1st place), Runner up (2nd place) and third place (3rd) per category. We will have a certified public accountant, who will be in charge of adding all of the votes with an assistant.

- We reserve the right to stop anyone from performing if we deem necessary because of distasteful music, costuming, or other.

- No professional cameras allowed. Videos and photos of the competition and shows will be available to purchase at the event.
- **PAYMENTS ARE NON REFUNDABLE**

- All contestants must fill out the following forms: Registration Form, Performer Release Form, and Technical Information Form. These documents must be sent to competition@rakstar.netalong with music no later than September 1, 2019. The forms can be found below.

Valet parking at hotel is $15.00 if you mention RAKSTAR.
